Kodak Building #9 – Reworked

Well it’s been just over a year since this picture was taken. I’ve become a little more familiar with HDR photography and what I like and don’t like with the technique. Here is a reworked version of another picture from the gymnasium. At some point I need to settle on a style, process more images and finally assemble a book of the four adventures to date.

Muskoka Centre

Regal Constellation Hotel – Toronto, ON

The Regal Constellation Hotel was a large hotel with focus on trade shows, convention and hospitality training centre near Pearson International Airport near Toronto, Ontario.

Built in 1962, the hotel consisted of two 15 floor towers, 6 storey atrium, a Chinese restaurant and 90,000 square feet (8,400 m2) of convention space.

Once a popular hotel and convention venue, the hotel is no longer operating due to declining business and other setbacks, culminating with the SARS crisis. It was owned by Hong Kong-based Regal Hotels International.

3D Photography

I’ve been meaning to upload my first 3D photos for a while while. I bought this lens for my Pentax K1000 more than a year ago and have only tested it with one roll of film so far. I promise, more to follow.3D_loreo_1

Polaroid Transfer

micheline_01

This was my first Polaroid transfer using Fujiflm FP-100C and a Vivitar Instant Slide Printer. The paper used was Arches 88, it works well because it has no sizing to interfere with the transfer from adhering to the surface.

Holga+Polaroid=Holgaroid (or Polga)

I’ve recently purchased a Polaroid back for my Holga medium format camera. I will be posting some images shortly. I’ve also just scored a Vivitar Instant Slide Printer from eBay, it allows me to print slides directly to Polaroid film or more importantly, Polaroid transfers. Again, I’ll be posting some of the transfers that I’ve done.
